WE WANT YOU!
We have 3 - 4 set intake dates for new skaters throughout the year. This is so that new skaters can follow our training programmes from the beginning and learn everything they need to know to level up as a player. Keep an eye on our socials, where we'll advertise these events!
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
Skater intakes are free! We have a fair amount of skates and gear available (also free to use at intake). Just bring a bottle of water and wear comfortable clothes you can skate in.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
We will explain everything on the day – the programme structure, how you’ll progress as a skater, fees, practice times, etc. Then you’ll get to skate around for a bit and watch a roller derby game played by experienced skaters. Whoop!
DO YOU NEED SKATING EXPERIENCE?
Not at all, our programme is designed to teach you everything you need to know to level up as a skater.
WHO CAN JOIN?
Although you must be over 18 years old to join, derby is all-inclusive regardless of gender identity, race, sexual orientation, fitness level, and body shape.
EXHIBITION BOUTS
We are always amped to showcase our sport and introduce more people to roller derby! Get in touch with us if you'd like to schedule an exhibition bout at your event.
